Polymer modified asphalt (PMA) mixtures are commonly employed in flexible pavement and overlays with large traffic volumes. In contrast, a number of laboratory field tests have been conducted to evaluate the performance PMA that conventional hot mix (HMA) mixtures. This paper presents an overview various polymers utilised their effects on rheological, morphological, physical, mechanical properties polymer-modified binders. According review relevant literature, good modifier affects failure characteristics binder, allowing it withstand greater stresses strains before failing. pavement, adding binders improve qualities has long history. Due polymers' limited solubility, may several disadvantages. addition, brief description general approach mixing is provided.
